Head of Hellenistic Prince
This bronze head (2nd–1st cc. BC), shows the vivid realism prized in late Greek art: tense brows, parted lips, and textured stubble convey intensity and individuality. His elaborate hair and once-inlaid eyes suggest a princely or military figure modeled on heroic Greek ideals later embraced in Rome. The mottled patina (natural film on bronze) reflects centuries of burial, now adding depth to its dramatic presence.
