Medieval Bronze Cross-Shaped Fibula

This roughly cast bronze fibula (11-12th cc.), resembling a cross, may have served both as a fastening device and a Christian symbol during early medieval Christianization in the Baltics. Found in Old Riga, it reflects local adaptation of religious forms into everyday dress.
