Bust of Emperor Caligula
This marble bust of Caligula matches coin portraits from his reign (37–41), supporting its identification. The youthful features echo those of Tiberius, projecting dynastic continuity at a moment of political transition. Such images stood in domestic larari (household shrines), where the imperial cult shaped private expressions of loyalty and civic identity.
