Diquís Raptor Pendant
This gold pendant from the Diquís culture of southern Costa Rica (700–1550 AD) depicts a stylized bird of prey with pronounced beak and curved wings. Such figures symbolized spiritual flight, strength, and shamanic vision. The raptor’s role as a sky messenger linked earthly and divine realms in pre-Columbian cosmology.
