Courtyard of Casa Anzoátegui

This colonial courtyard marks the final residence of General José Antonio Anzoátegui, who died here on November 15, 1819. The house served as a military post during the independence campaigns and now preserves the memory of a key hero in the Battle of Boyacá. Its architecture reflects late 18th-c. New Granadan style.
