Yaksha Demon
This mural from the Ramakien (Thai version of the Ramayana) shows a multi-armed yaksha demon in royal armor, presenting weapons and ritual objects. Fangs, a towering crown, and patterned garments mark him as one of the giant guardians whose force is redirected toward defending cosmic order. Gold leaf and colored pigments heighten the contrasts across the dark ground. Completed as part of the temple complex (1784), such murals integrate moral warning with royal ideology.
