View from the Tower at Finca Vigía
From this perch above the lush outskirts of Havana, Hemingway surveyed a landscape that fed his imagination. In the mid-20th c., this view connected the writer to Cuba’s rhythms—storms, sunlight, distant city life—while offering the solitude essential to his craft. It became both a literal and symbolic vantage point on the world.
