Diquís Gold Frog Pendant
This gold pendant (700–1550 AD) depicts a frog with broad, flared feet and fine detailing on its limbs. Openings in the head suggest it may have been worn as a charm. In Diquís culture, frogs symbolized fertility and transformation, making them powerful emblems of renewal and shamanic passage between worlds.
