Table of Antioquia’s Independence
This round wooden table (17th c.) stands on turned legs and occupies the center of a colonial interior. On August 11, 1813, it served for the signing of Antioquia’s Act of Independence during Colombia’s early liberation struggles. Its preservation today reveals how everyday furniture became a witness to regional sovereignty and a short-lived republican experiment under Juan del Corral.
