Temple Façade of the Piazza d’Oro
This reconstructed portico (2nd c.) once framed the entrance to the grand piazza of Hadrian’s Villa, merging sacred and imperial space. Its harmonious Corinthian columns and triangular pediment evoke classical ideals, while reflecting the emperor’s vision of Rome as heir to a universal architectural language.
