Mezcala-Style Stone Masks
These 6–9th cc. masks were found in Templo Mayor offerings. Made in the Mezcala region of Guerrero, known for abstract stone carvings, they feature deities like Tlaloc and glyphs evoking place names or elements like maize and water. Their reuse by the Mexica reflects ritual power across time and cultures.
