Andean Fuchsia
This ornamental shrub, fuchsia boliviana, native to the cloud forests of the central Andes, is known for its long, tubular red flowers and velvety green leaves. Cultivated for its beauty and ability to attract hummingbirds, it blooms year-round in temperate zones. First classified in the 19th c., it is often grown in high-altitude gardens of Peru, Bolivia, and Colombia.
