Rainy TaxiSalvador Dalí
Salvador Dalí’s kinetic sculpture, created in Spain (c. 1938) and reimagined in the 1970s, features a Cadillac, a mannequin, and surreal elements. When activated, rain falls inside the car, subverting bourgeois luxury. A goddess-like figure and a boat dripping blue drops symbolize fertility and chaos, embodying Dalí’s dream logic and surrealist vision. This work challenges perceptions of reality and opulence.
