Via di Diana

This is the Via di Diana, a principal street in Ostia Antica. On the right stands the Caseggiato di Diana, a 2nd-c. residential and commercial building. The street’s dense brick structures reflect urban Roman life, while the Capitolium rising at its end asserts the religious and political heart of the city.
