High Altar and Presbytery

This richly layered space (14th–19th cc.) merges Gothic architecture with Baroque and Renaissance altarpieces, commanding spiritual focus at the heart of the cathedral. The octagonal ciborium, suspended organ lofts, and radiant stained glass behind narrate a visual theology of sacrifice, majesty, and divine presence.
