Josephine’s Bed in the Tent Room
This imperial bed (early 19th c.) crowned by a gilded eagle occupies the center of the Tent Room, designed to resemble a military pavilion. Draped in crimson and gold, it reflects Napoleonic symbolism and Josephine’s status as empress. The swan motifs at the bed’s corners evoke both grace and myth, linking feminine elegance to imperial grandeur.
