Francis I Wing Staircase

The Château de Blois unites Gothic, Renaissance, and Classical wings. Its most iconic feature is the ornate spiral staircase of the Francis I Wing (early 16th c.), opening onto the courtyard. Blois was home to French kings and queens, including Catherine de Medici, who died here in 1589.
