Sea-facing Corridor

This open-air gallery, part of the 18th-c. colonial structure, offered ocean views to the European occupants above the slave dungeons. While the enslaved suffered in darkness below, this space embodied the cruel normalcy with which human trafficking was conducted under colonial rule.
