Canopic Jars of Tutankhamun
These alabaster jars (1323 BC) from Thebes preserved the mummified organs of Pharaoh Tutankhamun. Each lid shows the young king's likeness, adorned with cobra and vulture emblems. Used in burial rites, the jars were stored in a canopic chest, symbolizing regeneration and divine guardianship in the afterlife.
